All IP addresses are obfuscated and never tracked except at the DDoS protection level (only accessible by our security team). When your friends join your server, their IP addresses won't show in the console. They can play comfortably knowing their privacy is protected.

What's an IP address and why does this matter?

An IP address is like your computer's home address on the internet - it shows your approximate location and internet provider. While not directly dangerous, if someone gets your IP, they could see your general area or potentially target you with attacks. Most Minecraft servers display player IPs in the console, which means server admins (and anyone with access) can see this information. We've removed IP logging entirely from the console.
