Acceptable Use Policy
DRAFT — pending legal review. This document is a good-faith working draft for a Minecraft-hosting service and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited on MineXHost (MineXHost LLC) services. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as needed; violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.
Prohibited content & conduct
- Illegal activity — anything that violates applicable law, including distributing illegal content, child sexual abuse material (zero tolerance — reported to authorities), or content that infringes intellectual-property rights.
- Attacks & intrusion — using the Service to launch DoS/DDoS, port scans, brute-force, exploits, malware, phishing, or any unauthorised access to systems or data.
- Spam & fraud — sending unsolicited bulk messages, operating scams, carding, or payment fraud.
- Resource abuse — crypto-mining, using a game server to run unrelated workloads, deliberately exhausting shared CPU/RAM/network/storage, or circumventing plan limits.
- Harmful or abusive material — content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence or hatred against others.
- Circumvention — reselling, sublicensing or sharing access in breach of your plan, or evading suspensions/bans.
Security responsibilities
- Keep your mods, plugins and server software reasonably up to date and configured securely; you are responsible for vulnerabilities you introduce.
- Protect your credentials and enable two-factor authentication where available.
- Report security issues to [email protected] rather than exploiting them.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement. Depending on severity we may warn you, throttle or suspend a server, suspend or terminate the account, and/or remove offending content. Where practical and lawful we will give notice, but urgent threats to the Service or others may be acted on immediately.
Reporting abuse
To report a violation by a MineXHost-hosted server, contact [email protected] with details (IP/hostname, time, and evidence).
