Create an account with your email address, a username and a strong password, or buy a server as a guest with only your email and choose a password afterwards. Sign in with your username or email. If you forget your password, Forgot your password? emails you a reset link.
Create an account
- Click Create Account on the sign-in page, or Create account in your cart.
- Enter your Email and a Username. Usernames are 3 to 64 characters: letters, numbers, dots, hyphens and underscores.
- Choose a Password and type it again in Confirm password. It needs at least 12 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. A checklist shows which rules you've met. Passwords that appear in known data breaches are refused, even if they meet the rules.
- Tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and click Sign up. You may be asked to complete a quick security check first.
You're signed in straight away. If you started from your cart, you go back to it. You must be at least 13, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree. You may not keep several accounts to get around trials, promotions or limits (section 3 of our Terms of Service).
Verify your email
We email you a verification link when you sign up. It's valid for 24 hours. You don't have to verify to order a server, but please do, so we can reach you about your servers, billing and account security. Your Profile page shows Verified or Unverified next to your email. To get a new link, click Send verification email there.
Sign in
- Enter your Username or email and your Password.
- Leave Remember me ticked to stay signed in on this device. Untick it on a shared computer, and you're signed out when the browser closes.
- Click Sign in. If you use two-factor authentication, enter the 6-digit code from your app, or a recovery code, and click Verify code. See Two-factor authentication.
A sign-in lasts up to 7 days, then you sign in again. After 10 wrong passwords in 15 minutes, sign-in from your network is paused and the page says "Too many failed sign-in attempts — try again in a few minutes." The button counts down until you can try again.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot your password?
- Enter the email on your account and click Send reset link. For privacy, the page looks the same whether or not an account exists for that email.
- Open the link in the email within one hour, choose a new password that meets the same rules, and click Set new password.
Resetting your password signs you out on every device and removes any SSH keys and SFTP password on your account, so add those back afterwards. If the link has expired, request a new one.
If you checked out as a guest
Guest checkout creates your account from the email you entered, so the server is yours as soon as you pay, and you stay signed in in the browser you ordered from. To sign in anywhere else you need a password. Choose one in either of these ways:
- Open the email "Your MineXHost account: choose a password" and click Choose my password. The link is valid for 3 days.
- In the browser you ordered from, open the Payments or Payment Methods tab of your account, where Finish setting up your account asks for a password. Click Save password.
Setting the password signs out every device. Sign in once with your email and new password, and you're done. If the claim link has expired, use Forgot your password? with the same email.
Manage your sessions and details
- Security in your account shows Recent sign-ins from the last 90 days. If you don't recognise one, change your password and click Sign out all others.
- Your username and email can't be changed from the panel. Open a ticket and we'll change them for you.
