Click Order Now on a plan, choose your edition and what you want to play, pick a name and any extras, then check out with an account or as a guest. Once your payment is confirmed, MineXHost builds the server and takes you straight to it.
1. Choose a plan
Open Plans and click Order Now on the plan you want. That opens Your cart. Until you pay, you can switch to another plan under Choose your plan, and you can change plan later from your account. Not sure how much RAM you need? Read Choosing a plan and how much RAM you need or try the RAM calculator.
2. Set up your server
- Minecraft edition: choose Java Edition or Bedrock Edition. Pick the one your players own, because players on one edition can't join a server for the other. Consoles, phones and tablets are always Bedrock. See Bedrock and crossplay.
- What you'll play: choose Vanilla Minecraft (Java Edition) for the plain game, or A modpack to search CurseForge and Modrinth packs. Modpacks are Java Edition only. The pack is installed while your server is built, and you can change it later. If a pack needs more RAM than your plan has, the cart warns you but doesn't stop you. See How to install a modpack.
- Server Name: what the server is called in your panel. You can rename it any time.
- Your address: a free name ending in
.minexhost.com. Type one, or leave it blank and we pick a unique name for you. Bedrock servers connect by IP address and port instead, which your panel shows once the server is built. See Your server address and subdomain. - Dedicated IP (optional): your own IP address, billed monthly on top of the plan. If it shows Sold out, your server still works on our shared address. See The Dedicated IP add-on.
- Storage: keep the storage your plan includes, or pick a bigger size for a monthly price. See Change your plan or storage.
3. Check the order summary
The Order summary lists the plan at its regular price, each add-on, any discount, Total today, and what the server Renews at each month. To use a promo code, type it in the Promo code box and click Apply. Codes take money off the plan price only, never add-ons. See How to use a discount code.
Sales tax, if any applies to you, is added on the payment page. If you pick another currency at the top of the cart, prices are converted for reference only; the charge on our payment page is in US dollars. If you finish on Stripe's checkout page, Stripe may show and charge your own currency.
4. Sign in, create an account, or check out as a guest
If you're signed in, click Checkout. Otherwise choose Create account, Sign in or Guest checkout. Your cart is kept either way.
Guest checkout asks only for your email address and a tick to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Click Continue to payment. We create your account from that email, and after you pay we email you a link to choose a password. If that email already has an account, you're asked to sign in instead. If Guest checkout says it isn't open yet, create an account or sign in. See Create an account and sign in.
5. Pay
- Choose your Billing country, and your State if you're in the US. The country is required because it decides any tax due. Add a ZIP / Postal code if you have one.
- Tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In some countries you also see Starting your service straight away with two more boxes, because the law there gives you a right to cancel.
- Click the Pay button (it shows the amount), enter your card in the secure Stripe form, and confirm. If you've bought before, you can pick a saved card under PAY WITH or choose Use a different card.
Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. Some orders, generally from buyers outside the United States, finish on Stripe's own checkout page instead, and the payment page tells you before you pay when that applies. See Payment methods. We can't take orders from a short list of countries and regions; the list is in section 3.4 of our Terms of Service.
What happens after you pay
- The page shows Payment confirmed. Setting up your server and takes you to your server when it's ready. You can leave the page; the server also appears on your dashboard.
- If confirmation takes longer than usual, don't pay again. The page explains what is happening and gives you an order reference to quote to support.
- We email an order confirmation, which is your receipt. For an order paid on Stripe's checkout page, Stripe sends the receipt instead. When the server starts for the first time, we email you that it's live, with the address to share with your players.
- If you checked out as a guest, look for the email asking you to choose a password.
- A plain server is quick to set up. A big modpack can take several minutes to install, and the server page shows the progress.
